Audience Award – Flevoland Film Festival
The film documentary ‘DUTCH LIGHT’, a film by Pieter-Rim de Kroon and Maarten de Kroon, was awarded during the Flevoland Film Festival 2005. The Film Festival, part of the ‘XL Art Festival’, enabled the public to vote for their favorite film. ‘DUTCH LIGHT’ got the most votes (16%), followed by the Dutch films ‘Nynke’ and ‘Abel’.
During the Film Festival 21 Dutch films – selected by a commission – were screened and gave an impression of Dutch films produced from 1980.This year the theme of the festival was love in the Dutch film: man-woman, father-son, love for a sculpture, an image, object or experience.
The award – a masterpiece of artist Ad Kuijper – was presented to director Pieter-Rim de Kroon by Margreet Dolman.
